RU11 signs Leiden Statement on the social sciences and humanities

The RU11 delegation attended the Global SSH Meeting, which was hold by the League of European Research Universities (LERU) and Leiden University in Leiden the Netherlands, on 20 and 21 November 2014, to discuss the importance of the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) in today’s complex and uncertain global environment. The head of the delegation was Prof. Atsushi Seike, the President of Keio University.
LERU, the Association of American Universities(AAU), the Association of East Asian Research Universities(AEARU), the Group of Eight Australia, the Russell Group(UK), the U15 (Canada) and RU11 committed themselves to working together to advance the characteristics described in the ‘Leiden Statement’.
